Open House at Minuteman Technical Institute at Minuteman High School in Lexington

The Minuteman Technical Institute (MTI), located at 758 Marrett Road in
Lexington at Minuteman High School, will have an Open House on Tuesday, Nov. 13,
2012, at 7 p.m.
 All are welcome.

MTI provides students with the
required qualifications to confidently seek out and successfully compete for desirable
roles in diverse high-growth industries. 
Adults may apply to the MTI programs (formerly known as Adult Career Training
programs) to hone their skills in a technical area, retrain for new employment,
or learn new technical skills. MTI rapidly equips students with the knowledge,
self-confidence, and industry certifications to enhance their existing career
or begin a new one.

MTI is for anyone interested in acquiring
competitive skills and credentials in Dental
Assisting
, Biomanufacturing, HVAC, and Plumbing in as little as 90 days. 


 


At MTI, students learn more, faster;
train with experts; and receive the attention they deserve. 


 


Most of the MTI’s postgraduate
programs follow the school calendar and are held from September - June, from
7:45 am - 2:30 pm., and take place in the same labs, shops, and classrooms as
the high school program.


 


Choose from exciting programs such as
Advanced Automotive Technology, Biomanufacturing, Building Construction
Technology (Carpentry), Cosmetology, Culinary Arts / Baking, Dental Assisting,
Electrical Wiring, Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning/Refrigeration, Health
Occupations (Clinical Medical Assistant, EKG Technician, Electronic Health
Records Management, Medical Billing & Coding, Pharmacy Technician,



Phlebotomy Technician), Horticulture
and Landscape Technology, Hospitality Management and Plumbing.

details. There may be a reduced tuition rate for adults who live in the
Minuteman district towns of Acton, Arlington, Belmont, Bolton, Boxborough,
Carlisle, Concord, Dover, Lancaster, Lexington, Lincoln, Needham, Stow,
Sudbury, Wayland and Weston. Some programs charge tuition regardless of
residency, and all students are responsible for materials fees. See program
offerings for details.



Out-of-district residents may attend
on a tuition-paying basis.


 


A $250 deposit (half of the
materials fee) is required within 30 days of acceptance into the program to
secure a spot. The remaining portion of the materials fee is due prior to the
start of the program.


 


Tuition
Payment Options:



Option 1: Payment in full due prior
to the start of the program.



Option 2: Payment plans may be
arranged which divide payments into ten payments from August through May for a
one- or two-year program, or five monthly payments (August through December or
January through May) for a 90-day program.


 


Programs may be eligible for funding
through the U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Individual Training Account
(ITA), Trade Adjustment Act, or Section 30.
