Star Power: British Violinist Ruth Palmer, Michael Gandolfi World Premiere, and Beethoven

Acclaimed British violinist Ruth Palmer, who has been described as “the most distinctive violinist of her generation,” performs Korngold’s glorious violin concerto as part of this special evening of star performances. Conducted by Jonathan McPhee, the program also features a performance of Beethoven’s expressive sixth symphony, the Pastoral, and the world premiere of Fortune, Fate, and the Fool, a new community-funded commission by award-winning contemporary composer Michael Gandolfi in celebration of the Town of Lexington's 300th birthday. Pre-concert conductor’s talk at 7 pm.
