Suggest Items for the Lexington Time Capsule

As part of Lexington’s 300th Anniversary Celebration, fifty-year Lexington resident Stan Abkowitz has generously donated a titanium time capsule which will be buried to be reopened in 2063, at the town’s 350th Anniversary.

The 300th Anniversary Committee invites any and all Lexington residents to consider what you would want to communicate to future historians and residents about Lexington today.  Will they want to know what we wore, where we worked, what music we listened to, or what we did in our free time?

Committee members will have a table open at the Incorporation Weekend celebrations on March 16th to collect residents’ ideas for inclusion in the time capsule and accept physical items for donation.

A committee will be designated to decide which items go into the time capsule.

Email Julia Steigerwald Schnall at julia.lex300@gmail.com with questions or suggestions for items to be included in the time capsule, or visit lexington300.org to find out more about the 300th Anniversary Celebrations!
