Jenks Learning Connection SPRING CLASSES 2015

It's not too late to sign up for the spring session, which begins Wednesday April 8.

Interesting and informative classes are in store for you in the spring session. Please note that because of renovations at the Jenks Center the location and times may vary. See information in each class description

Historian Lorin Maloney will lead

IMMIGRATION IN AMERICA (4 sessions, 4/8, 4/15, 4/22, 4/29, cost $40) at the Winchester Public Library from 7 - 9 pm. The course examines the people who arrived in the past 4 centuries and how the American nation they have created is dealing with the challenges of assimilation and growth.

Author Tanya Holway will review the fascinating history of plants in

ORDINARY FLOWERS WITH EXTRAORDINARY HISTORIES (4 sessions, $40) Learn the exploits and intrigues involved in the discovery and collection of common annuals from all over the world. At the Jenks Center, 3 to 5 pm.

Bob Gaudet returns for BAROMETER BRIDGE (4 sessions, $40)

This class is for Advance Beginner through Intermediate level players. Learn to recognize different situations and the tools which apply in each. With lots of discussion following each hand, you will improve your “bridge thinking”. At the Jenks Center, 7 to 9 pm.
