Lexington Community Education presents: An Evening with David Ropeik - Risk: Why Our Fears Often Don't Match the Facts

Join Lexington Community Education this evening as David Ropeik explores and helps explain why our fears sometimes don't match the facts, and how we can  make healthier choices in a risky modern world.

Most of us worry too much about some things, and not enough about others.  In his book, How Risky Is It, Really?  David Ropeik explains why, revealing in fascinating detail the subconscious human system of risk perception and how it is driven as much by emotion and instincts as by reason and fact.

David Ropeik is an author, award-winning television reporter, teacher, consultant, and public speaker. For the past decade, his focus has been on applying a better understanding of the way people perceive risk to the challenge of risk communication and overall risk management.
