Lexington Community Education presents: Mindfulness Matters for Families with MaryAnn Christie Burnside

Parenthood and childhood are full of joy and stress, just like life.  The good news is that we always have a choice about how to work with what's happening in our  lives.  In fact, parents and children who learn to regulate attention, emotion and social responses are less affected by stressors as they naturally arise and more skillful in a wide range of contexts.

Mindfulness, which is the art and science of working with what's happening as it is happening, is the practice we can choose, again and again, to cultivate confidence and compassion, reduce stress and reactivity and increase overall health and well-being.  In this two-hour program, we will learn about mindfulness, practice together, and discuss ways to share mindfulness with our children to the benefit of all.

The cost of this evening's class is $20.00.  Pre-registration, using a MasterCard or Visa, is strongly recommended by contacting Lexington Community Education at 781 862 8043.
