Lexington Symphony's Kids' Workshop and Concert

In pursuit of the ongoing mission to introduce music lovers of all ages to classical music, Lexington Symphony and Music Director Jonathan McPhee are pleased to present the Symphony's annual Kids’ Workshop and Concert. This enjoyable, interactive, family-friendly event brings classical music to life and gives kids the opportunity to engage one-on-one with members of the orchestra. From 2:00-3:00 p.m., kids can try their hand at playing orchestral instruments and at conducting their own group of players. At 3:00 p.m., the Symphony offers a special concert featuring music from Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Martin. This event is one of many community outreach efforts the Symphony will undertake during its 2013–2014 season. Tickets, which are priced at $20 for adults and $12 for children 12 and under, can be purchased online at www.lexingtonsymphony. org, by telephone at 781-523-9009, or at the door.
