Lowell Philharmonic Orchestra - Family Concert!

Free
admission ($10 suggested donation per person). Handicap accessible.

This 1-hour concert is specifically
geared towards entertaining children. The theme of this 'royal' concert is
"Rule Britannia!" - you'll be sure to recognize some
fun, familiar pieces of music. We encourage families to interact during
the show and at our post-performance "Meet the Instruments" session,
in which our musicians are available to discuss and demonstrate their
various instruments. During the performance, the LPO will engage the
audience in activities, like a basic conducting lesson. Some area string
students will join the LPO for one piece. Also, a very talented
14 year-old violinist, Austin Kwoun, will be our featured "Conductor's
Choice" guest soloist, performing Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto, Op 64.
