Neuroscience for the Layperson: An O.W.L.L. Course

Neuroscience for the Layperson is a four-week lecture series presented through Older, Wiser Lifelong Learners in Lexington Massachusetts. Wellesley College Neuroscience Program professors Barbara Beltz, Sharon Gobes, Marc Tetel, and Bevil Conway will share new insights to help laypeople better understand the brain. Teachers and topics are noted below: 
Feb 19 (Beltz): New Neurons in Adult Brains: Stem Cell Surprises! 
Feb 26 (Gobes): Singing in the Brain: Bird-brains, Amnesiacs and the Neuroscience Behind It. 
March 5 (Tetel): From Decision Making to Deal Making: How do Hormones Influence Our Brain and Behavior? 
March 12 (Conway): Unraveling a Mystery: How Different Cultures Use Color.

Four-Week course registration is $25 for Lexington Senior Citizens and $50.00 for Non-Lexington Senior Citizens
