Polynesian Dance Arts offers 6 week class in Hawaiian Hula


This class for beginners will take participants through the basic steps and terminology of hula.  We will utilize these basic steps in learning a simple , slow tempo hula.  Translation of the song used in class will be provided.  The class will also include cultural and historical background of the hula and its relation to Hawaiian history.

PLease wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement.  Shoes are not required as hula is done in barefeet.  Prior dance experience is not required.

This class is taught by Marta Moussa.  Marta was a dance major at Boston Conservatory of Music and studied hula in Hawaii.  She has been teaching hula for 20 years.

Sign-up at Jenks Registration Desk.  Limited to 20 participants.  Price is $5 a class if you sign up for all 6 classes or drop -in fee is $6.00 per class.
