Lexington High School Players Present Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing

On Thursday, November 21, Friday, November 22, and Saturday November 23 at 7:30PM, the Lexington High School players present William Shakespeare’s witty, energetic comedy, Much Ado About Nothing, a play that explores love, loyalty, deception, and gender equality. The production, directed by drama teacher, Jillian Singer-Wong, reflects the play’s universal appeal by combining elements of contemporary life with those inspired by life in 1890s Italy,  a time of rising feminism. (In fact, the first woman to become a medical doctor in Italy received her degree in this era.) The public is invited to join the cast of 20 student performers and 20 crew members for a spirited performance of one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies. Tickets for students and seniors $5, adults $10, are available at the door.
