Do You Love a Parade?

Ambassadors are needed for Lexington's annual Patriots' Day Parade.

The following announcement was provided by Suzie Barry, chairwoman of the Town Celebrations Committee.

The Town Celebrations Committee is seeking volunteers to serve as Parade Ambassadors for the afternoon parade on Patriots' Day, Monday, April 16.

Parade Ambassadors march in a two-person team in front of a parade unit, carrying a banner identifying the local business, civic group or individual who is sponsoring the particular unit.

As the parade has grown, more sponsors have stepped forward to support the marching units, and this has increased the demand for more Parade Ambassadors.

We encourage members of sports or academic teams, walking partners, civic groups, friends, neighbors and students to apply.
