Lexington Lions Club's Fourth of July Carnival Lineup

Fireworks, field games, rides and more.

The annual Lexington Lions Club Carnival comes to town next week and will claim a slightly different spot around the town’s center. Ongoing fields work has forced the 56th annual Fourth of July carnival to move over to from its regular location beside the .

According to plans presented earlier this month, the carnival will be largely the same as it’s been in the past, although slightly smaller due to the plot and configuration of the Hastings Park site. Setup is scheduled to begin on Sunday, July 1, with the carnival’s opening slated for the evening of Tuesday, July 3.

The Bicentennial Band will play on opening day, and fireworks are planned for Thursday, July 5, as well as an early opening that day for special needs students from the Perkins School for the Blind and LABBB Collaborative.
