It was the annual Volunteer Recognition Reception, featuring lunch, punch, guests like members of the Board of Selectmen and Town Manager Carl Valente and Human Services staffers behind the counter disihing out desserts.

"We do this every year to recognize the contributions of all of the volunteers," said Charlotte Rodgers, director of Human Services and the Senior Center. "Almost 14,000 hours is what they do every single year."

The lunch was catered by Wilson Farm, and volunteer Jack Manuel played piano.
