Get into the Christmas spirit with a classic show.

"On behalf of The International Ballet Academy of Norwell d.b.a New England Movement Arts (NEMA), it is our pleasure to introduce you to our 2013 Nutcracker performance," a release states. "This adaptation of a classic, timeless tale will take place at our New England Movement Arts studio, located at 123 Muller Road in Burlington.

The shows will take place Friday, Dec. 20 at 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 21 at 6pm and Sunday, Dec. 22nd at 2 p.m.

The Nutcracker is the first major performance hosted by New England Movement Arts, a rapidly growing, multi-purpose studio located in the heart of the Burlington community, the release states.

"New England Movement Arts is a 501-(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness and appreciation for dance, in particular ballet, and other forms of human kinetic movement and artistic expression in our community," the release states. "This community begins at home in Middlesex County, and branches out through circles of association and collaboration to include people of all ages and from across both the United States and countries around the world."

The NEMA facility is housed in an 18,000 square foot warehouse adjacent to the Burlington Middlesex Commons and is within easy travel distance of Arlington, Bedford, Billerica, Burlington, Lexington, Winchester, and Woburn. The facility includes a martial arts dojo; two large dance studios, which also serve as a black box theater; and a gymnastics/fitness room.

This year’s Nutcracker will take place in a newly built black box performance stage with seating capacity of over 100.

"The viewing intimacy within the black box theatre is unlike any other; every seat is a front row seat, and each leap, turn, and pirouette can be easily viewed right in front of each viewer’s eyes," the release continues. "The performance will feature both professional dancers and students from New England Movement Arts; these students come from towns across Middlesex County, including Burlington, Lexington, Winchester, Arlington, and Woburn, and even from towns within the South Shore of Massachusetts and from New Hampshire."

Tickets are just $25 and are on sale through our websites, nemovementarts.com and ibanorwell.org!
