Kids' Day at the Lexington Farmers' Market!

Kids' Day at the Lexington Farmers' Market was a blast! In its second year, there were many more kids who brought their homemade jewelry, home-grown plants and other crafts to share with shoppers on Tuesday under a clear summer sky.

6th graders Grace and Rene each brought their hand-made jewelry, and said they had so much fun last year, that they were back for the second time. Grace's mom, Elizabeth McLaughlin, who organized this successful Kids' Day for the second year, agreed!

Ria, a 4th grader, brought her brightly colored, hand-painted pots, and said her mom who also helped organize the event, saw this as an opportunity for Ria and her older sister to share something they had made.

Some kids planned on donating part or all of their earnings to charity. 6th grader Naoko brought friendship bracelets and planned on donating her proceeds to Children's Hospital. 3rd grader Carina, who wanted to sew something cute, brought small stuffed toys and donated some of her earnings to the One Fund.

There's always something fun going on at the Lexington Farmer' Market! Stay up to date on Tuesday happenings throughout the season on https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Lexington-Farmers-Market/356356963629?ref=hl or http://lexingtonfarmersmarket.org
