Looking for Lexington's Outstanding Youth

Do you know a high school senior who demonstrates all that's good in kids these days -- things like leadership, good academic standing and community service? Nominate him or her for this year's Outstanding Youth Award.

The following is a press release from the Outstanding Youth Awards Committee.

Lexington's Outstanding Youth Awards Committee is now seeking nominations for this year’s award.

Any Lexington resident who is a high school senior is eligible to be nominated.  The award will be presented to a student who has demonstrated service to the community of Lexington, good academic standing and leadership abilities. Prior award winners have distinguished themselves in many varied activities, with the commonality being their desire to be a positive force in the Lexington community.

Anyone can nominate a candidate. To nominate, please be sure to include the nominee’s name, phone numbe, mailing and email addresses and, of course, a letter of nomination to Ruth AH Litchfield, Outstanding Youth Award Chairperson, at 6 Conestoga Road, Lexington, 02421.

Nominations must be received by Monday, March 12. Candidates will then be notified. The candidate will be required to submit documentation to support his/her candidacy and turn in all their appropriate paperwork by Friday, March 30th.

The selection committee will choose the winner(s) in early April. The award will be presented to the winner(s) on Patriots Day at which time the recipient must be present.
