What Gets You Excited? The Elisha Project Began This Weekend

Giving back, with the Elisha Project.

About a month ago, I was honored to meet with George Ortiz, founder of the Elisha Project, along with representatives from the 3-Point Foundation.

On Nov. 24, with a generous contribution of food from Rick Roche and his family, a group of volunteers including my wife Mei, my son James, my daughter Rachael, Chyten Vice President Chris Lothrop, Boston Celtics attorney Neil Jacobs, Rivers Basketball coach Andrew Mirken, students of the 3-Point Foundation's CAB Academy and others will be making and distributing bag lunches in Roxbury. Assembly occurs at the Reggie Lewis Center; once complete, we head out to the "Give Zone."

While I am so sorry that there is a need for such a thing as this, I am equally pleased to see that there are people who step up and help those who need our help. Nothing should make us feel more human than activites that help our fellow man, woman and child in times of need.
