Obituary: WWII Veteran, Retired Firefighter Gerald Jones

Jones, Gerald W. Of Lexington, Dec. 7, 2013. Beloved husband of Mary L. (Rose) Jones Son of the late Ernest and Martha L. (Wheaton) Jones. Loving father of Gerald W. Jr. and his wife Debbie of Randolph, Paul R. and his wife Leslie of Lexington, Marilyn Jones of Haverhill, Elaine M. Skaff and her husband Fred of Haverhill, Robert E. and his wife Susan of Billerica, and Janice M. Sortino and her husband Charles of Ayer. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. 

Brother of the late Wilfred Jones and his wife Margaret, Earl Jones and his wife Verna, and Thelma Detrick and her husband Raymond. Special lifelong friends, Alan and Lee Emery of Salisbury. Also many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., LEXINGTON, on Thursday, December 12 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis TN 38105. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington. Late retired firefighter Town of Lexington and late veteran U.S. Navy WWII.
