Welcome to Lexington Patch

A new site dedicated to all things Lexington

Welcome to Lexington Patch, your source for news, sports, events, calendar listings and more. We hope the site will become your first stop to find out what's happening in town, as we'll be updating it throughout the day as news happens and we hear from you about what's going on in the community.

I've already been getting out in the community covering meetings and events, and you'll see my team of freelancers on the beat as well, attending and writing about events, meetings, sports and recreation and more. When you see us, make sure to come over and say hi.

Lexington Patch is also where you can find business and community listings. Want to know the phone number of a restaurant or ice cream shop? Need directions to get to a golf course? Our extensive directory has all the information, addresses and photos to help you find out more.

Our directory of listings also includes civic groups and religious institutions and schools, while our local facts section will help you navigate town departments and local officials.

But this isn't just our site, we want it to be your site - a real online community with active participants. We can't be everywhere at once, so upload your videos and photos to Lexington Patch. Sign up for a free account and post on our comment boards (where we expect lively discussions will soon be playing out).

You can also let people in town know about the events and activities going on in your lives by posting them on the site, or by sending us announcements of births, weddings, school accolades and more. We even have a classifieds section.

If there's something we don't have, or ways you think we can improve, my door is always open. Please e-mail, call or just leave a comment on the site. I look forward to meeting you out and about in Lexington.
