Alleged Massage Parlor Prostitutes Arrested After Undercover Investigation

Three employees at two businesses were arrested June 8 on prostitution charges.

Three women who working at massage parlor-type businesses in Lexington were arrested late last week after an investigation into alleged prostitution.

The arrests, made in two separate actions on Friday, June 8, came as a result of investigations into information received from outside agencies, advertisements, online adult sites and citizen complaints, according to Lt. Det. Michael McLean.

As a result of information obtained over a week or so, police sent an undercover officer into the establishments and confirmed employees were offering sexual services for a price in addition to their regular, legitimate treatments, McLean said.

As of Monday afternoon, it did not appear as though the two illicit operations were linked to one another, and it was unclear whether those arrested were rogue employees or acting in conjunction with others at the businesses, McLean said.
