A Lexington man was one of two men arrested on Sunday after they allegedly dealt crystal meth to undercover officers in the City Hall Plaza area of Boston, according to the Boston Police Department news website.

Officers from the District A-1 Drug Control Unit (Downtown) and District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Andrew Dreyer, 30, of Lexington, on charges of distribution of class B drugs, possession with intent to distribute class B and on an outstanding warrant out of Lynn District Court charging him with operating a motor vehicle without a license, according to the website.

Jake Decker, 26, of Melrose, was also arrested and charged him with distribution of class B drugs and possession with intent to distribute class B drugs, according to the website.

The arrests stemmed from an ongoing crystal meth drug investigation, and officers were able to set up a drug purchase of one-eighth ounce of crystal meth for an undisclosed amount of money, according to the website.

"The suspects agreed to meet the buyers in the area of 450 Washington St. outside of Macy’s in Downtown Crossing," reads the site. "The suspects arrived and began to walk with the buyers towards the Boston Calling Concert on City Hall Plaza.

"Officers set up surveillance in the area and observed the two buyers thank the two suspects for their business. Officers were informed from the buyers the (alleged) drug transaction was complete. Officers identified themselves as Boston Police and the two suspects were placed under arrest."

Decker allegedly confessed to having crystal meth in his pocket and also in an orange bag, and officers recovered 13 blue Alprazolam (Mylan A1) pills and three white Tramadol (319) pills, according to the site.

Meanwhile, a bag search revealed a green box allegedly containing three blue Alprazolam (Mylan A1) pills, three plastic bags of crystal meth and an Altoids case containing six Diazepam and other assorted narcotics; a drug ledger, four cell phones (Sprint, Motorola, Kyocera and a Blackberry), a N.H. ID in Dreyer's name, a scale marked AWS100, two glass bongs and other evidence, according to the site.

Both suspects were expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal District Court on Monday.
