DA's Office Investigating Lexington Accident, Death

A 45-year-old Arlington man was pronounced dead after an early morning accident in Lexington on Saturday, Aug. 3.

The Middlesex District Attorney's Office is investigating a single-car accident that occurred Saturday morning in Lexington, where police found a car in the bushes and a man unresponsive behind the wheel

According to the Lexington Police Department, officers responded to a single-vehicle accident shortly after 6 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3. The vehicle had reportedly rolled into some bushes around 160 North St., and police said at the time that the driver "may have been ill"before the vehicle left the road.

After finding the driver unresponsive, the responding officer administered CPR. The man, whom the Middlesex DA's Office has identified as a 45-year-old Arlington resident, was transported to Lahey Clinic and later pronounced deceased.  

Lexington Police and the Middlesex DA's Office confirmed Monday that the situation remains under investigation.

"As with all fatalities, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office is involved in the investigation," a spokesperson said in an email to Patch.
