Have You Seen This Car?

Police in Lexington are looking for this car in connection with a cluster of residential burglaries.

A champagne-colored Lincoln is currently a key lead as police in Lexington continue to investigate a the residential breaking-and-enterings that occurred late last week.

According to Lt. Det. Michael McLean, the vehicle was spotted at the scene of an alleged burglary last Friday, Aug. 2, in which a resident reportedly spotted four black men carrying a TV set as they fled from a neighbor's home on Wilson Road.

Using a cell phone photo snapped by a neighbor and an outside surveillance camera set up at a nearby residence, police have identified the vehicle as a 2002 Lincoln with tinted windows and, possibly, livery plates.

A vehicle fitting that description was also spotted in the vicinity of a reported breaking-and-entering that same day in Arlington, according to McLean.

Due to their proximity, times and descriptions, police do believe the Wilson Road burglary and Arlington incident could be related to the attempted breaking-and-entering last Friday on Blossomcrest Road in Lexington.

The Blossomcrest house-break was interrupted by a resident, however, and spurred a search of the area.

Police do not believe the house-breaks of last Friday are related to others among the spate of residential burglaries that have been reported in recent weeks, McLean said.

Anyone with any information about the vehicle pictured above or the reported burglaries should call the Lexington Police Department's non-emergency line at 781-862-1212.
