Laptop Stolen, Multiple Identity Theft Instances, Walker Bit by Dog

The following information was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, August 28-

At 1 a.m. police responded to a report of a disturbance on Somerset Road. House party.

At 1:14 p.m. a caller reported illegal dumping on Allen Street.

 At 8:11 p.m. a caller reported a wallet containing credit cards was stolen from a locker at the Boston Sports Club on Bedford Street.

Thursday, August 29-

Arrest: Police arrested a Waltham man on a warrant from another agency.

At 9:08 a.m. police responded to a larceny of laptop on Maguire Road. A party came to the station to report a Dell laptop was taken off his desk. Estimated value of $500.

 At 9:58 p.m. a Pine Knoll road caller reported larceny by fraud. Caller reports that an unknown party bought a laptop with the “bill me later” site by means of fraudulent credit card use.

At 11:44 a.m. police assisted a person on Waltham Street who was locked outside of their motor vehicle with a child inside.

At 1:24 p.m. a Morris Street caller reported a dog bite. A dog got out of a garage and bit someone walking on the sidewalk. The bitten party was treated at the hospital. Dog under 10-day quarantine. Owner will be cited for leash law violation.

 

Friday, August 30-

At 12:46 a.m. a taxi driver on Route 2 and Waltham Street reported a dispute over taxi fare.

At 11:04 a.m. a Farmcrest Avenue resident reported identity theft. The caller reported two internet accounts were opened on paypal.com and the "bill me later" sites for $400 and $900. Out of state identity theft.

 

At 9:38 p.m. a Lowell Street caller reported a noise complaint.
