Lexington Resident Talks ‘Mattapan Massacre’ Jury Selection

You may remember Edward Schwartz for his role in 2011's "Midnight Tweet of Paul Revere." The Lexington resident is back in the news, this time for a far less whimsical reason.

Dwayne Moore, one of three suspects accused the September 2010 murders known as the “Mattapan Massacre” was found guilty of more than half of the charges against him last month, receiving four life sentences.

Moore had previously been tried for multiple crimes, but his first trial resulted in a hung jury. As his defense prepared for the retrial, they brought in Lexington resident Edward Schwartz, a jury consultant.

In a recent interview with Mass Law Radio, talked about his work on behalf of Moore’s defense team, the media coverage and whether the Sandy Hook school shooting in Newton, Conn., which occurred just days before the guilty verdict, could have impacted juror deliberations.
