Man Arrested on OUI Charge After Accident, Scratches on Vehicle Likely Made by Turkey

The following information was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, September 7-

 At 1 a.m. there was caller reported a car ran off the road and was on construction barrels in front of his Waltham Street house. The operator placed under arrest. Police arrested Masiko Mujuni, 35, of 241 Lexington St., Woburn, on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor and a marked lanes violation.

At 5:55 p.m. a Bird Hill Road caller reported a rabid skunk.

At 6:03 p.m. a Demar Road caller reported property damage. Police determined the vehicle was scratched by what appears to be turkeys.  

Sunday, September 8-

At 10:38 p.m. police arrested Suresh Gopalan, 47, of 12220 Main Campus Drive, Lexington, on charges of assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon. Arrest made following a domestic assault - fight with parents.  

Monday, September 9-

At 12:10 p.m. a Maguire Road caller reported larceny from a building. Five laptop computers were taken from a business sometime between Friday at 4 p.m. and Monday at 8 a.m. 

At 9:18 p.m. a Concord Avenue caller reported a motor vehicle accident with a deer. 

Tuesday, September 10-

At 9:47 p.m. a Marrett Road caller reported the larceny of a Sprint tablet. The caller said the theft happened on Sept. 6 at a rest stop. The caller said he put the tablet down while he was using a bathroom and it was taken.
