PHOTOS: Lexington Police Caught a Hawk

An injured hawk landed in front of the Post Office earlier this week. It was caught and brought to the Burlington Science Center for rehabilitation, police said.

Talk about a special delivery...

Shortly before 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, the Lexington Police Department received a call reporting an injured hawk had landed at Mass Ave and Grant Street.

Responders found the hawk on the Post Office lawn, and were able to catch it in a box used to hold mail. The animal was transproted in that box to the Burlington Science Center, police said.
