Police: A Phantom Intruder on Dunster Road

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.


Friday, Nov. 30

9:17 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call from a resident of Dunster Road reporting an unknown individual had entered their house and then left. The caller reported while she had been in another part of the house she heard the front door open, thought it was her parents and called out to them. She then heard the door open and close again and the person was gone. Responding officers checked the area, but found nothing.

11:16 a.m.- Police received a call from a resident of Shawsheen Road reporting a suspicious older male with long gray hair, a blue jacket, dark pants and carrying a reusable grocery bag, standing on their front lawn. Officers checked the are, but found nothing. 

10:31 p.m.- A caller requested police check on the well being of a male in the Whole Foods parking lot who appeared to be disoriented. The responding officer reported the individual had been sent on his way.
