Police Log: A Possibly Stolen Car and Snowy Neighbor Disputes

The following information was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Feb. 8

10:23 a.m. – Officers assisted a resident of Old Shade Street with a generator issue.

11 a.m. – Police responded to the reported theft of a wallet on Emerson Gardens Road.

2:15 p.m. – A possible disabled motor vehicle was reported in the area of Marrett and Tufts roads.

2:19 p.m. – A disabled motor vehicle was reported on Bedford Street.

3:23 p.m. – A cell phone was reportedly stolen from a building on Waltham Street.

4:07 p.m. – A Meadow Brook Avenue resident reported his friend had not returned the car he let her borrow the day before. The resident called back Monday to report his friend told him she had left the vehicle in Brockton. The investigation is ongoing and Brockton PD was looking for the missing vehicle.

4:38 p.m. – Police responded to a report of kids on the roof of the Bridge School on  Middleby Road. The responding officers found four juveniles on the school’s roof; there was no damage done to the roof and the parents were notified.

8:10 p.m. – A disabled motor vehicle was reported in the area of Bedford and Hancock streets.

8:26 p.m. – A disabled motor vehicle was reported in the area of Pleasant and Watertown streets.

9;05 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a car off the roadway in the area of Bedford Street and Rt. 128-95.

9:53 p.m. – A DPW worker reported cross-country skiers on Mass Ave, near Bow Street.

Saturday, Feb. 9

7:47 a.m. – Police assisted with a DPW-ordered tow on Maple Street.

8:19 a.m. – A parking complaint came in from the area of Brandon Street and Fotler Avenue.

1:28 p.m. – Police carried out a well being check on Reed Street.

4:32 p.m. – A snow blower fire was reported on Lowell Street. The fire was extinguished when police responded to the scene.

5:15 p.m. – Police responded to a reported snow removal dispute on Mass Ave. According to the incident report, the tenants of a two-family house were arguing about who had to move vehicles and clear the driveway.

7:15 p.m. – Another neighbor dispute was reported at the same Mass Ave. multi-family. According to the incident report, it was a similar argument over shoveling and moving vehicles, but, as a result of the police response, one of the residents was cited for operating a motor vehicle after his license was suspended.

Sunday, Feb. 10

9:35 a.m. – A suspicious motor vehicle was reported on Emerson Gardens Road.

10:52 a.m. – A parking complaint came in from Stedman Road.

11:47 a.m. – A low-hanging wire was reported in the area of Bow Street and Drew Avenue.

1:37 p.m. – A wallet was reportedly found on Mass Ave.

9:19 p.m. – Police assisted Armstrong Ambulance on Percy Road.
