Police Log: An Armed Robbery and Shotgun Shells

Lexington Police incident reports from June 13 to June 16. The following information was supplied by the Lexington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction

Monday, June 13
8:03 a.m. – A disabled motor vehicle was reported on Hartwell Avenue.
2:39 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident on Spring Street and Hayden Avenue.
4:22 p.m. – A bicycle was reported stolen on Lowell Street.
6:23 p.m. – A cruiser checked on a reported mother-son domestic dispute on Massachusetts Avenue.
6:51 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of annoying phone calls on Cedar Street.

Tuesday, June 14
7:30 a.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident on Mass Ave and Edison Way in which a woman was struck while crossing the street. She was transported to the hospital with basic life support and the driver received a civil citation.
9:04 a.m. – A breaking-and-entering was reported at a Dewey Road residence involving a man pretending to be from an electrical company. Jewelry was reported stolen and the matter is under investigation.
12:19 p.m. – Officers responded to an alleged assault and battery on Lowell Street involving a nursing home employee who reported a coworker slapped her in the face. Police are investigating.
1 p.m. – A car was reportedly keyed on Mass Ave.
2:20 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident at Spring Street and Hayden Avenue.
3:50 p.m. – A bicycle was reportedly stolen from Stedman Road.
5:28 p.m. – Police took possession of shotgun shells a person found while cleaning out his grandmother’s home.
6:22 p.m. – A suspicious motor vehicle was reported on Burlington Street and Simonds Road.
6:30 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of a breaking-and-entering to a motor vehicle parked at a towing company on Mass Ave.
6:42 p.m. – Police took possession of a bicycle abandoned on Lowell Street.
9:22 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of solicitors in the area of Ingleside Road.

Wednesday, June 15
1:26 a.m. – An armed robbery was reported on Homestead Street. 312506. William Richard Najjar, 23, of 960 Rear Main St., Woburn, was charged with armed robbery while masked, assault and battery by dangerous weapon, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a dangerous weapon, use of a firearm while committing a felony, three counts of assault by dangerous weapon and resisting arrest.
10:58 a.m. – A motor vehicle accident was reported at Meriam and Oakland streets.
6:21 p.m. – Young children were reported missing on Simonds Road, but were located and returned to their parents.
11:03 p.m. – A noise complaint came in from Piper Road.

Thursday, June 16
8:07 a.m. – Animal control used two rounds to put down a sick raccoon on Baskin Road.
11 a.m. – A report of annoying phone calls came in from Mass Ave.
1:44 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of a stolen cell phone on Stevens Road.
1:57 p.m. – Suspicious persons were reported on Bedford Street and Sunnyknoll Avenue.
4:22 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident on Lowell Street and Fairlawn Lane.
4:25 p.m. – A down wire was reported on Vine Brook and Winthrop roads.
