Police Log: Brass Knuckles, a Renegade Mini Bike and a Jewlery Heist

Friday, Nov. 30

7:29 a.m. – A cruiser checked on a report of a woman taking recyclables from peoples bins along School Street.

11:23 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a man talking to himself on Mass Ave.

3:02 p.m. – A past hit-and-run accident was reported on Mass Ave.

4:32 p.m. – Police responded to a reported restraining order violation involving a mother and daughter on Calvin Street. Charges will be coming down against the daughter, according to police.

Saturday, Dec. 1

10:11 a.m. – A parking complaint came in regarding vehicles in a fire lane on Bedford Street.

10:11 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a loud group of youths on Sutherland Road.

11:32 p.m. – A deer was reportedly struck by a motor vehicle in the area of Spring Street and Marrett Road.

Sunday, Dec. 2

1:43 a.m. – A motorist called to report being passed by a mini bike with no lights on flying up the wrong side of the road in the area of Lowell and Maple streets. Police were unable to locate the bike.

2:16 p.m. – A resident of Worthen Road East reported four hub caps and two centerpieces were missing from her brother’s vehicle. The woman was unsure whether they went missing before or after she picked up the vehicle from the impound lot and parked it in her driveway a week earlier.

2:28 p.m. – Police responded to a reported breaking-and-entering to a residence on Blake Road.

4 p.m. – An attempted breaking-and-entering was reported on Waltham Street.

4:09 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a breaking-and-entering on Carol Lane.

6:15 p.m. – Multiple calls came in reporting a serious motor vehicle accident on Shade Street. It was a single-car collision with a tree, and five individuals were transported to area hospitals, according to the incident report. The driver, a Bolton teen, will be charged with multiple infractions, including negligent operation of a motor vehicle, police said.

7:21 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Woburn Street and Hayes Lane, a Georgia man received a civil citation for marijuana possession and had his brass knuckles and a club confiscated.

Monday, Dec. 3

7:46 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Bedford Street and Hartwell Avenue.

5:23 p.m. – Past larceny from a home on Manning Street. Reported that sometime within the past 5 weeks his wife’s watch and wedding band went missing.

Tuesday, Dec. 4

6:22 a.m. – A cell phone caller reported driving by a minor motor vehicle accident that resulted in a fight in the area of Bedford and Winter streets, near the Bedford line. Police responded to the area and found nothing, but Bedford Police later relayed a report from the VA Police saying there was a crash and fight, and it involved an employee of the hospital.

2:38 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Bedford Street.

3:33 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Bedford Street and Harrington Road.

4:22 p.m. – Police responded to a reported larceny from a motor vehicle on Lincoln Street.

Wednesday, Dec. 5

6:24 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Forest Street.

9:34 a.m. – A parking complaint came in regarding some trucks blocking the roadway in the area of Sunny Knoll Avenue.

12:20 p.m. – An iPad was reportedly stolen from a vehicle on Lincoln Street.

2:56 p.m. – Police responded to a reported breaking-and-entering on Follen Road.

4:08 p.m. – Police responded to an alleged burglary at Bonafine Jewelers on Woburn Street, in which a $1,600 bracelet was reportedly stolen earlier in the day by a woman who came in looking at bracelets.

7:28 p.m. – A foreign exchange student from China reportedly missed his bus ride home and received a police transport from Mass Ave near Seasons Four to his host family’s house on East Street.

Thursday, Dec. 6

8:51 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Bedford Street and Hartwell Avenue.

9:48 a.m. – According to a police report, Matthew J. Waters, 32, of Salem, was arrested in Salem on a Lexington warrant.

10:39 a.m. – As a result of a traffic stop on Sedge Road, Melissa B. Foss, 22, 6 Sedge Road, Lexington, was arrested on an outside warrant.

1:58 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Lillian Road and Lowell Street.

4:06 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Concord Avenue, Christopher L. Miles, 30, of 12 Ellsworth Road, Andover was arrested on five outside warrants for traffic and drug-related offenses.

7:06 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a past breaking-and-entering on Field Road.
