Police Log: Lexington Was Well-Behaved Over Memorial Day Weekend

The following information from May 25 to May 28 was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, May 25

12:32 a.m. – A breaking-and-entering to a residence was reported on Brandon Street.

12:52 a.m. – A noise complaint came in regarding reported basketball playing on Hancock Street.

10:56 a.m. – Misspelled street sign was reported at the intersection of Mass Ave and Minute Man Lane. The DPW was notified.

1:54 p.m. – Lights were reportedly shot out by a BB gun in the area of Appletree Lane and Peachtree Road.

8:49 p.m. – A Hawthorne Road resident reported suspicious activity involving someone walking around the house.

Saturday, May 26

1:26 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Gleason and Simonds roads, a 31-year-old from Bedford was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, marked lanes violation and operating a motor vehicle without lights. According to the police report, an officer had observed the driver's vehicle driving without its headlights on Bedford Street. The driver was later found not guilty of the charges.

9:21 a.m. – Two youths were reportedly passed out in a vehicle on Wingate Road.

5:26 p.m. – A disabled motor vehicle was reported on Bedford Street.

Sunday, May 27

10:09 a.m. – Police responded to Plainfield Street to for a reported taxi fare evasion.

4:43 p.m. – Officers assisted with a car seat installation on Mass Ave.

9:06 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Bedford Street.

9:35 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported on Hibbert Street.

Monday, May 28

12:53 a.m. – A fireworks complaint came in from the area of Lincoln Street and Hastings Road.

12:52 p.m. – A found iPod was turned in to the station.

2:37 p.m. – A red light was reported out at the intersection of Waltham Street and Worthen Road.

4:58 p.m. – A bicycle was reportedly stolen from Theresa Avenue.

5:03 p.m. – A runaway was reported from Pelham Academy on Pelham Road.

8:09 p.m. – Animal control was notified of a reportedly sick raccoon on Boulder Road.

11:08 p.m. – A cruiser checked out a report of a loud group in the area of Lincoln Street.
