Police Log: More After-Hours Pool Trespassers and a Few Arrests

The following information from July 16 to July 19 was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction

Monday, July 16

8:40 a.m. – Police responded to a reported assault with a dangerous weapon on Bedford Street. Christian R. Capone, 40, of 413 Bedford St., Lexington, was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon on a person older than 60.

9:16 a.m. – The manager from Paint Rock Pool reported someone trespassed on the property overnight. There was no reported damage, but appeared to be evidence people were in there swimming, including lights left on and lane dividers disconnected and drifting around the pool, police said.

8:40 p.m. – Animal control was notified about a possibly injured fox in the area of Sherburne Road.

9:12 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on Wingate Road.

Tuesday, July 17

7:44 a.m. – A cafeteria manager from a Maguire Road business reported that sometime after 5 p.m. on Friday 13 and the morning of July 16, someone entered common area of the building, pushed back a gate and stole a  device used to register payments from smart phone apps.  

11 a.m. – A possibly intoxicated man was reported on the steps at Cary Memorial Library. Police located the individual, who allegedly had been drinking while on medication, and had him transported to the hospital.

4:12 p.m. –An employee of a Spring Street business reported sometime over the last three weeks two laptops were stolen. Their total value was about $3,200.

4:21 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Waltham Street and Marrett Road.

5:14 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Bedford street and Harrington Road.

Wednesday, July 18

8:51 a.m. – A disabled motor vehicle was reported in the area of Mass Ave and Rhodes Road.

12:05 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Lowell Street and Peartree Drive, Joel B. Werrick, 52, of 539 Lowell St., Lexington, was arrested on a Billerica warrant for threatening to commit a crime.

5:48 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Revere Str.

6:23 p.m. – A cell phone was reportedly stolen from Bedford Street.

6:48 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Bedford Street and Hartwell Avenue.

8:30 p.m. – Police executed a drug bust at a Bow Street residence. As a result of an investigation by the Suburban Middlesex Drug Task Force, Kelly M., Roche, 20, of 130 Lowell St., Lexington, and Nicholas C. Trombley, 22, of 32 Bow St., Lexington, were arrested and charged with possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute.

9:47 p.m. – A Concord Avenue resident reported that sometime between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m., the home was entered by removing a window air conditioning unit. Reported missing from the home were a computer, an iPad and about $1,000 cash.

Thursday, July 19

7:30 a.m. – Police responded a reported domestic on Concord Avenue.

10:16 a.m. – Another instance of overnight trespassing was reported at Paint Rock Pool on Partridge Road.

3 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the golf club on Hill Street.

4:41 p.m. – Police responded to a report that a person may have spent the night at , an assumption made based on a pillow and open door discovered there.

4:59 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Bedford Street and Pine Knoll Road.

5:15 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident in the area of Waltham Street and Marrett Road.

10:31 p.m. – During a routine check of , police found two youths in possession of marijuana.
