Police Log: More B-and-Es Reported, Arrests and Investigations

The following information was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Aug. 2

7:45 a.m. – Police responded to a reported breaking-and-entering to a motor vehicle on Solomon Pierce Road.

7:46 a.m. – A breaking-and-entering to a motor vehicle was reported on Butterfield Road.

9:25 a.m. – A car-break was reported on Butterfield Road.

10:43 a.m. – Police responded to a reported breaking-and-entering in progress on Blossomcrest Road, which led to a search of the area.

12:30 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported on Allen Street.

1:13 p.m. – Police responded to a reported breaking-and-entering in progress on Wilson Road, where a Marrett Road resident reported seeing four black males running from a house with a television set and leaving the area in a late model sedan. The investigation ongoing.

2:25 p.m. – Police responded to Bedford Street for a reported incidence of fare evasion.

2:49 p.m. –Scot R. McDevitt, 23, 483 Waltham St., Lexington, as arrested on a Lexington warrant.

5:48 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Mass Ave and Bedford Street.

7:21 p.m. – A past breaking-and-entering was reported on Rangeway.

11:28 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the area of Peacock Farm Road.

Saturday, Aug. 3

2:30 a.m. – A noise complaint came in reporting possible fireworks in the area of Main Campus Drive.

6:09 a.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on North Street. An investigation is ongoing, and being led by the Middlesex District Attorney’s office, police said.

8:14 a.m. – Police responded to a report of threats on Waltham Street following an argument between co-workers. It was verbal only.

10:43 a.m. – A bicycle was reportedly stolen from Woburn Street.

7:22 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Waltham Street.

7:52 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a woman sleeping on the lawn of a Woburn Street housing development.  Diane S. Grenda, 56, who is listed as being homeless, was arrested on a warrant for a restraining order violation and taken into protective custody for her alleged intoxication.

Sunday, Aug. 4

12:56 a.m. – A Dewey Road resident reported the sound of gunshots in the area.

9:13 a.m. – A complaint about construction work came in from the area of Clelland Road and Lisbeth Street.

9:13 a.m. – Police responded to a report of vandalism to a motor vehicle on Adams Street.

12:39 p.m. – A backpack was reported stolen in the area of Woburn Street.

2:22 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Mass Ave and Meriam Street.

7:36 p.m. – Police responded to a reported hit and run accident, involving a car into a fence on Wachusett Circle.

8 p.m. – A noise complaint came in from Balfour Street.

9:55 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a person looking in windows on Theresa Avenue.
