Police Log: Parking Meters Pilfered from Municipal Lot

The following information from April 23 to April 26 was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest not indicate a conviction.

Monday, April 23

8:29 a.m. – A report of noncriminal property damage came in from Solomon Pierce Road.

11:36 a.m. – Police provided mutual aid to Woburn.

3:37 p.m. – A cruiser checked out a report of youths with a possible weapon on Turning Mill Road and located some kids had an Airsoft rifle in the woods off of Turning Mill.

5:35 p.m. – A Sunset Ridge resident reported the dolly he uses to wheel out trash and recycling bins had gone missing.

Tuesday, April 24

6:50 a.m. – A noise complaint came in regarding landscapers on Holton Road.

10:09 a.m. – A Grove Street resident reported a bucket of tools stolen had been stolen from his home.

6:29 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Waltham Street and Concord Ave., Jason J. Tonry, 44, of 345 Park Ave., Arlington, was arrested on warrants for motor vehicle offenses out Billerica, Lexington and Arlington.

Wednesday, April 25

10:57 a.m. – Officers received a complaint about vehicles parking overnight on Adams Street.

3:05 p.m. – Police responded to a reported past breaking-and-entering attempt on Mass Ave.

3:59 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Bedford Street.

4:35 p.m. – A Lexington minor was arrested for on assault and battery charges in connection with a reported incident around in which he allegedly choked out another high-schooler during a dispute about cigarettes.  

6:06 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident in the area of Bedford Street and Simonds Road.

Thursday, April 26

9:09 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported in the area of School Street and Stimson Avenue.

10:24 a.m. – A bracelet was reportedly found in the area of Mass Ave and Waltham Street.

11:11 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident at Route 2 and Waltham Street.

2:16 p.m. – Two parking meters were reportedly stolen from the municipal lot behind .

4:28 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident at Bedford Street and Route 128/95.

6:25 p.m. – Police responded to a reported mother-daughter domestic on Mass Ave.

8:07 p.m. – While checking out a charity soliciting on Blossom Street to see if it was legit, an officer pulled over a vehicle he thought may have been involved with the call and wound up arresting a Virginia man. As a result of the motor vehicle stop, Leslie Staffon Scales, 25, of 1249 Daniels Creek Road Collinsville, Virginia, was arrested and charged with operating without a license.
