Police Log: Political Sign Problems and Automotive Arguments

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Sept. 6

2:08 a.m. – Alarm central reported a master motion alarm at the on Lexington Road. The responding officer reported the caretaker was on scene and the interior and exterior both checked OK.

9:23 a.m. – A Concord woman called to report a moving van nearly struck her while attempting to back into a Main Street driveway, just west of the in West Concord.

10:57 a.m. – A Boxboro resident found a ladies wallet near the District Court on Walden Street and brought it into the station.

11:07 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report a disabled motor vehicle in the area of Commonwealth Avenue and the Route 2 rotary.

12:17 p.m. – An officer related a report of a possibly suspicious motor vehicle on Hubbard Street. Police checked the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle in question.

12:41 p.m. – A Lexington woman came into the station to report losing her $200 necklace a few days earlier on Keyes Road.

2:12 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, a Windsor man was summonsed for operating a motor vehicle after his license was suspended.

3:20 p.m. – A Bedford Street resident called to report an older man had backed into her vehicle earlier while pared at the Emerson Umbrella on Stow Street.  

4:02 p.m. – A Buttrick’s Hill Road resident reported two unknown dogs in her yard.  Their owner called police to advise he lost his dogs, and the dog officer planned to return the man’s pets to him.

7:14 p.m. – A 911 caller reported she was just in an argument with her van driver, who left her on Lexington Road by the . The caller made arrangements for a ride home to Bedford.

7:16 p.m. – Police responded to a complaint about political signs posted too closely to the . The signs were moved back 50 feet.

10:22 p.m. – A Silver Hill Road resident reported a suspicious motor vehicle parked in the area for the past 30 minutes. According to the incident report, the vehicle was dropping off another Silver Hill Road resident.
