Police Log: Road Rage, a Liquor Store Smash-and-Grab and a Heroin Arrest

The following information was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Sept. 14

12:56 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported in the area of Wood Street.

9:11 a.m. – Police responded to a report of assault with a dangerous weapon in the area of Woburn and Cottage streets. As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area, James W. Warter, 51, of 11 Hillcrest St., Arlington, was arrested and charged with assault by a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.
