Police Log: Smashed Pumpkins and Marijuana at the High School

The following information was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Oct. 19

11:50 a.m. – A Wyman Road resident reported a suspicious person in the neighborhood, whom she described as a man walking around and looking at houses. Police did not locate the man in question, but noted there was an open house on a nearby street.

12:59 p.m. –As a result an investigation into the in a Judges Road residence and in doing so found a bag of pill. Lexington Police are investigating for a possible narcotics violation.

1:27 p.m. – A subject at Lexington High School was cited for noncriminal possession of marijuana.

2:28 p.m. – Police located a male at Lexington High with a small amount of marijuana in his possession. It was less than an ounce, but packaged in such way that he’ll be summonsed for possession with intent to distribute, the incident report said.

3:18 p.m. – Police responded to a reported hit-and-run accident causing property damage in the area of Concord Avenue and Walnut Street.

6:08 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Adams Street and Millbrook Road, Derek Mark O’Loughlin, 28, of 11 Burnside St., Lowell, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with revoked registration and following too closely.

9:11 p.m. – Parking complaints came in from Bartlett Avenue.

Saturday, Oct. 20

12:26 p.m. – A two-car accident was reported in the area of Bedord Street and Route 128-95.

12:48 p.m. – A parking complaint came in from Clarke Street.

2:38 p.m. – A downed tree limb was reported on Waltham Street.

2:46 p.m. – Two men were identified shoplifting at Stop & Shop on Bedford Street. They were summonsed and issued no trespass notices.

4:27 p.m. – Police responded to a report of glass in the roadway in the area of Grove Street and Carriage Drive.

6:40 p.m. – A report of a domestic dispute/argument cane in from Concord Avenue.

10:04 p.m. – Police responded to a report of damage to the grass strip on the sidewalk along Hastings Road.

Sunday, Oct. 21

1:31 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported in the area of Woburn Street.

2:43 a.m. – A disabled motor vehicle was reported on Route 128 north.

3:48 a.m. – Police responded to a report of youths in a red vehicle throwing eggs on Childs Road.

4:14 a.m. – Another call came in reporting vandalism, a car driving over a resident’s lawn, pumpkins smashed, eggs thrown. Police located the vehicle on Hancock Street by Hancock Ave. and found four Lexington teens and 12 empty egg cartons. Throughout the night, eight other reports of vandalism, pumpkins smashed and eggs thrown were reported, and the incident is still under investigation, police said.

10:57 a.m. – A credit card was reported stolen on Arcola Road.

1:38 p.m. – State Police relayed a report of an argument between a mother and father on Farmland Street.

4:58 p.m. – Police responded to a reported hit-and-run accident on Lowell Street.

8:46 p.m. – Police responded to a reported dispute or argument at Captain Parker Arms.
