Police Log: B-and-E Arrest and a Dog-Bitten Buttocks

The following information from May 14 to May 17 was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, May 14

10:37 a.m. – Police responded to a reported residential breaking-and-entering on Lowell Street. , was arrested and charged with breaking and entering in the daytime with the intent to commit a felony. 

1:03 p.m. – A vehicle reportedly struck a pedestrian on Bedford Street.

6:21 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle accident on Bedford Street, Eldred C. Richards, 23, of 45 Ocean Avenue, Winthrop, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle after his license was suspended.

7:35 p.m. – Suspicious activity was reported in the area of Brookwood Road and Fairfield Drive.

7:39 p.m. – Theft from a locker was reported on Bedford Street.

8:21 p.m. – A past larceny was reported on Bedford Street.

Tuesday, May 15

12:50 p.m. – A town bylaw issue was reported regarding signboards blocking a sidewalk on Waltham Street.

2:35 p.m. – Suspicious persons were reported on Waltham Street.

2:41 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Waltham Street, Paul D. Jason, 38, of 12313 Main Campus Drive, Lexington, was arrested on a warrant out of Chicopee for operating under the influence and was subsequently charged with giving a false name to a police officer and seatbelt violations.

4:25 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Pleasant and Watertown streets.

5:34 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Waltham Street and Grapevine Avenue.

Wednesday, May 16

9:30 a.m. – Police responded to a reported hit and run accident on Grant Street.

6:49 p.m. – Police responded to a reported neighbor dispute on Lexington Ridge Drive.

8 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported domestic dispute on Pleasant Street.

9:57 p.m. – A noise complaint came in regarding loud music on Bartlett Road.

11:14 p.m. – Police responded to a reported noise complaint in the East Street area.

Thursday, May 17

2:36 a.m. – An iPhone was reportedly found on a jungle gym on Middleby Road.

4:39 a.m. – Police responded to a reported possible domestic disturbance on Valley Road.

12:14 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Mass Ave and Depot Square.

9:15 p.m. – Animal control was notified of a reported dog bite on Hancock Street. According to the police report, a 1-year-old Burmese Mountain Dog pulled away from the 10-year-old girl walking it and bit a woman on the buttocks. Dog, which is on quarantine, is licensed and has a valid rabies vaccine, the police report says.
