$8.6 Million Project Begins to Update the Cary Building

With facility improvements of aging systems, as well as updates to bring it up to code and add accessibility, and a whole range of updates, the cost of the project is approximately 8.6 million.

Work begins this month on the Cary Memorial Building, the historic structure at Lexington Center. The building will be under renovation starting July of 2014 with anticipated opening for September of 2015, said the town's website.

Funds for the building were appropriated at the March, 2014, annual Town Meeting. Visit this presentation to Town Meeting to understand the work being done by Nauset Construction Company.
