Learn About Plans for New Community Center

Come learn about the plans for the new Community Center.

The Ad Hoc Community Center Advisory Committee is holding a public meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. to inform the public on the planning of a new Community Center to be located at 39 Marrett Road.

The meeting will be held in the Cary Memorial Building, Battin Hall.

The center is planned to open early next fall.

At the meeting there will be a review of the conceptual plans for the initial occupancy (Phase 1) of the new Center. Phase 1 entails relocating to 39 Marrett Road the programs from the Muzzey Senior Center and relocating the Human Services and Recreation Departments to the new Center. Collaboratively, the Human Services and the Recreation Departments will offer existing and enhanced programming for the whole community.

The concurrent planning for an expansion of the new Center’s capacity for potential, additional, features (Phase 2) will also be discussed at this meeting.
