When Disaster Strikes, Will You Answer the Call?

That's the question from the Lexington's Board of Health as it seeks volunteers for the Medical Reserve Corps.

Putting a call out for volunteers to help protect and prepare in the community in case of emergency, the Lexington Board of Health will hold an informational meeting next Wednesday, Aug. 7 about the Medical Reserve Corps.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Cary Hall.

The Board of Health is looking for all types of volunteers for the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC), but health, clerical, security, volunteer coordination, transportation and child care professionals will be sought in particular, according to an announcement from the Health Division.
