Winter Parking Ban Begins Tomorrow

Don't park your car on the side of the street until spring arrives. 

According to a notice on the City of Lexington's web site, the winter all-night parking bag will run from December 1 to April 1. During the ban, vehicles can not be parked or unattended upon a street between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

Violators can be subject to a fine of up to $20 per offense.

The town has also previously stated that if there is a snow storm and a car is parked on the street it may be towed to allow the passage of snow plows.
