5 Things: Street Closing, Cheesecake, Meetings and More

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on July 31 in Lexington.

1. Bedford Street Section Closing TodayThe section of Bedford Street between North Hancock Street and Ledgelawn Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic during ongoing work to replace an unlined water main for three to four days beginning today, July 31. 2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Townwide Facilities Master Planning Committee at 8:30 a.m. at the DPW Building, the ad hoc School Transportation and Safety Committee at 9 a.m. at the LPS Central Administration Building, the Housing Partnership Board at 9 a.m. at Cary Hall, the Lexington Housing Authority at 6 p.m. at the Housing Authority offices and the Planning Board at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Office Building.

5. Sunny Day, Clear Night: Should be mostly sunny today, with a high of 83, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a mostly clear evening with a low of 62.
