Nominate an Unsung Heroine

Every year, the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women hosts the Unsung Heroines of Massachusetts initiative to honor extraordinary women from across the Commonwealth.

This award recognizes women who use their time, energy and talent to make our neighborhoods, towns and cities a better place to live. Previously, the honorees have been educators, advocates, business women and volunteers who are dedicated to bettering the lives of the people around them.

The 4th Middlesex District is full of women with these qualities and I need your help to bring them into the spotlight. We are looking for people who don’t make the news, but they make a difference.

If you know an extraordinary woman in our community who deserves to be recognized as an Unsung Heroine of Massachusetts, please send me an email at kenneth.donnelly@masenate.gov with the subject Unsung Heroine. Please include in your email a 100-150 word description of your heroine, a detailed list of her accomplishments and tell us why your nominee deserves this recognition.

I look forward to hearing from you!
