Good News! Town Pool, Old Res Open Today

Beating the heat in Lexington just got a whole lot easier.

Coming off of two consecutive scorchers, and with two more in the forecast, keeping cool has been a priority.

Well, beating the heat is about to get a whole lot easier. Lexington's town pool and Old Reservior are opening today, June 1.

The Irving H. Mabee Town Pool Complex opens for the season at 10 a.m. this morning, and will remain open through Sept. 2. The Old Res also opens at 10 a.m. today, despite the ongoing construction, and will remain open through Aug. 18.

Located on Marrett Road, the Old Res is a fresh water pond with a sandy beach. It's open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Recration Department confirmed the Old Res will open as ususal, though construction will affect the parking available.

The town pool is located on Worthen Road at the Center Recreation Complex; it's typical public swim hours are weekdays 12:45 to 4:30 p.m. and 7 to 8:45 p.m.
