Your Summer Concert Series Preview

The Lexington Chamber of Commerce's annual Friday night showcase returns this Friday, July 12.

Planning fun and family-friendly Friday evenings on the cheap is about to get easier, thanks to the Lexington Chamber of Commerce.

From next Friday, July 12 through Aug. 30, the Chamber will host an array of acts for a series of free weekly concerts on its Visitors Center lawn. The Summer Concert Series shows start at 6:30 p.m. and families are encouraged to bring a picnic basket and blanket to make a evening out of it.

"This much loved local tradition attracts hundreds of folks (each night) from not only Lexington but also many surrounding towns," said Mary Jo Bohart, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce, in an email.

This year's lineup of acts includes:

  • July 12: Boston Black Thorne, Traditional Irish Music
  • July 19: Ben Rudnick & Friends, Lively Music for Families
  • July 26: Tim Gartland Group, Classic Rhythm & Blues
