For this week's Monday Essentials we are going to take a look at some holiday specific information.
Christmas Eve weather
Looks like the weather might just work out for Christmas travel. According to the National Weather Service after a slight chance of snow Monday night Christmas Eve day will have sunny skies with a high near 32 degrees. Christmas Eve night will be cold with a low around 14 degrees and wind gusts up to 22 miles per hour.
Christmas day weather
Looks like Christmas will be cold but clear. According to the National Weather Service we can expect sunny skies with a high near 24 degrees. Mostly cloudy at night with a low around 19 degrees.
School winter break
This year the Lexington Public Schools will close on Monday, Dec. 23 and will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 2. Lexington High School students however will get an extra day off due to parent conferences scheduled for Jan. 2. High school students will return to class that Friday.
Holiday closings
Lexington Town Offices, State offices and retails stores will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25.
