Five things to know about this upcoming week.

Welcome to Monday Essentials, our weekly column taking a look at the week ahead. Here are five things to know about this week:

1) Hot mid-week

Looks like summer will be back for a bit during the middle of the week. According to the National Weather Service we can expect temperatures in the low 70s on Monday but the mercury will rise to 80 on Tuesday and near 90 on Wednesday. The week will end with relatively cool temperatures in the low 70s. Otherwise looks like there is only a slight chance of showers this week on Tuesday and Thursday.

2) Liquor License vote

The Lexington Board of Selectmen is meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday in the Town Office Building, Selectmen Meeting Room. Included on the agenda is a vote on the liquor license for the Inn at Hastings Park

3) Math school open house
